LABUAN — The chairman of Labuan Corporation (LC) Datuk Mohd Husni Mohamad Salleh said that to ensure LC remains relevant and competitive, he has set clear priorities in three key development areas.
“First, economic recovery and acceleration by giving absolute focus to restoring the organization’s fundamentals and accelerating strategic investments.
“Second, operational transformation by strengthening management, enhancing governance, and ensuring the comprehensive implementation of strategic projects and urban transformation.
“Third, service delivery digitalization by modernizing service delivery systems through an aggressive digitalization agenda,” he said at the handover ceremony of the chief executive officer (CEO) of LC here on February 12.
Rithuan Mohd Ismail was reappointed as the 11th CEO of LC, replacing Mohd Sukuran Taib.
Meanwhile, Mohd Husni said the handover marked a critical leadership transition process to ensure the continuity of the region’s development agenda.
“I would like to express my highest appreciation to Mohd Sukuran for his commitment and dedicated service throughout his tenure, and welcome back Rithuan. His reappointment is not merely a continuation, but a strategic move to leverage his past experience to immediately advance the development and transformation agenda.
“Individuals may come and go in executive leadership positions, but the spirit of togetherness is a foundation that must not be compromised. The entire management machinery must set aside any differences and work hand in hand to realize organizational reform.
“I call upon all LC staff to continue driving this organization to become a leading agency of high integrity and quality,” he said.
Among those present to witness the handover ceremony were LC deputy chairman Simsudin Sidek, LC Advisory Council chairman Datuk Bashir Alias, LC directors, and heads of units.
