LABUAN — Persatuan Akuatik Labuan (PAL) is celebrating a triumphant return from the 4th Brunei National Age Group Swimming Championship (Short Course), held from February 7–8, 2026. Two of Labuan’s rising stars, Chanelle Ezra Teo and Hazel Delaney Kaur Sandhu, delivered a series of powerhouse performances, securing a combined haul of 11 medals.
The two-day meet saw the athletes not only dominate the podium but also achieve significant personal milestones, underscoring the effectiveness of the high-performance training programs currently spearheaded by PAL.
Individual Achievement Highlights

Chanelle Ezra Teo (aged 9): Captured a total of 8 medals, including 1 Gold and 7 Silver. Her consistency was further highlighted by improving her Personal Best (PB) times in 7 out of her 8 contested events.

Hazel Delaney Kaur Sandhu (aged 11): Secured 3 Bronze medals and achieved a remarkable 100 percent Personal Best improvement rate, setting new records for herself in all 12 of the events she entered.
Another PAL swimmer, Langston Ting Kie Hao (aged 10), also demonstrated great sportsmanship during the championship.
Guided by the motto featured on their victory citations—“Don’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the further you get”—these young swimmers continue to set a high standard for aquatic sports in the region.
Meanwhile, team manager Wenona Ling Li Wei expressed her pride over the achievement, saying: “We are very proud because the PAL swimmers were able to compete against great teams from across the region. More importantly, many of them successfully improved their personal best times. Our target was 10 medals, but we surpassed it with 11—a proud achievement”.
