PUTRAJAYA — A total of 300 asnaf (zakat-eligible recipients) from the Federal Territory of Putrajaya recently received a cash contribution of RM200 each through the zakat allocation from the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP).
Officiating the Nur Ramadan Contribution Presentation Ceremony for the Federal Territory of Putrajaya 2026/1447H was Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh, together with her deputy Datuk Lo Su Fui.
In addition, Hannah also presented a Special Contribution of RM5,000 to selected suraus in Putrajaya in support of mosque and surau institutions, which serve as strategic partners in the development of Islamic education.
Also present were the Director-General of the Federal Territories Department, Datuk Muhammad Azmi Mohd Zain; the President of Putrajaya Corporation, Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir; the Director of the Federal Territories Sports Council, Nik Ahmad Zahiruddin Nik Salleh; the Chief Executive Officer of Labuan Corporation, Rithuan Mohd Ismail; as well as senior management officials from the Federal Territories Department (JWP) and Putrajaya Corporation (PPj).
The implementation of the Nur Ramadan Program 2026 reflects the Government’s continued commitment to supporting those in need in Putrajaya.
