LABUAN — Members of the public here took the opportunity to observe the eclipse phases through telescopes at Labuan Square (Dataran Labuan) during the Night Sky Exploration Program yesterday.
A spokesperson for the program said it was held at the venue where people usually gather to break their fast.
“The program received an encouraging response from the local community, who attended with their families and friends,” he said, adding that it was jointly organised by the Labuan Survey and Mapping Department (Jupem) and the Labuan Mufti Department in conjunction with the full moon eclipse phenomenon.
A technical session and astronomy briefing for the community members who joined the program were conducted by the Deputy Director of Jupem Labuan, Mohd Najib Hussin.
