PUTRAJAYA — The Minister of Education (MOE) Fadhlina Sidek announced that one additional holiday on 18 March 2026 (Wednesday) for all schools nationwide in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration in 2026.
“This additional holiday is intended to give teachers, students and parents sufficient time to make the necessary preparations for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration,” she said in a press release yesterday.
Based on the Academic Calendar for the 2026 Session, schools in Group A have been allocated one additional holiday on 19 March 2026 (Thursday), while schools in Group B have been allocated two additional holidays on 19 and 20 March 2026 (Thursday and Friday).
It is hoped that these additional holidays will provide adequate time for teachers, students, and parents to prepare for Hari Raya Aidilfitri in an orderly manner, in line with the Ministry of Education’s aspiration to always prioritize the well-being of the education community.
