PUTRAJAYA — Minister of National Unity, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, announced that applications for admission to Tabika Perpaduan for the 2027 session are now open from 15 March 2026 until 31 August 2026, and can be submitted online.

He said Tabika Perpaduan offers quality preschool education with a structured curriculum to prepare children for primary school (Primary One). Starting in 2026, Tabika Perpaduan will implement the 2026 Preschool Curriculum, which emphasizes holistic child development in terms of cognitive, emotional, character-building, as well as unity and national values.

“Tabika Perpaduan continues to play an important role as a platform for early childhood education while fostering unity among children from a young age,” he said, adding that there are currently 1,781 Tabika Perpaduan centres nationwide with a total of 34,817 students.

Datuk Aaron said admission is open to Malaysian citizens who possess a Birth Certificate and MyKad, and are aged 4 to 6 years old. Priority will be given to applicants whose residence or parents’ workplace is within a 10-kilometre radius of the Tabika Perpaduan location.

He added that Tabika Perpaduan is being strengthened through the Tabika Perpaduan Early Childhood Education Plan 2021–2030, a strategic initiative by the Ministry of National Unity to enhance early childhood education programmes.

“This plan aims to reinforce the role of Tabika Perpaduan as an institution that not only develops children’s potential holistically but also nurtures a generation that loves the country and practices noble values in daily life,” he said.

According to him, the plan includes comprehensive improvements covering curriculum, teaching and learning methods, teacher professional development, governance, community collaboration, and a more effective monitoring system.

“The six main pillars include strengthening elements of nationhood, unity and moral values in the curriculum, enhancing teacher professionalism, improving community collaboration, advancing teaching and learning methods, strengthening governance, and empowering monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.

“We encourage parents and guardians to take this opportunity to provide their children with quality early education in an environment that emphasizes unity, mutual respect, and harmony in a multicultural society,” he said.
