LABUAN — A three-tonne lorry was 60 per cent destroyed in a fire incident at Jalan Gudang here early today.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 12am, and personnel from the Labuan Sentral Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene, located about 2.5 kilometres from the station.
Operations Commander PBK I TBK II Mohd Sabri Omar said firefighters found an Isuzu lorry engulfed in flames upon arrival.
“Firefighting operations were immediately carried out, and the blaze was brought under control at 12.08am,” he said, adding that 10 firefighters were involved in the operation, which ended at 1.19am.
No casualties were reported in the incident, and the case was handed over to the Fire Investigation Division for further action.
