FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series Semi-Annual Review (June 2026)

Kuala Lumpur, 4 June 2026 – The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series is reviewed semi-annually under FTSE Russell’s transparent, rules-based methodology, which assesses companies against established criteria including market capitalisation, free float and liquidity to ensure that each index continues to accurately represent the Malaysian equity market.

Following this June 2026 review, FTSE Russell and Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa Malaysia) today announced several constituent changes, which will come into effect on 22 June 2026.

  • Five constituent changes to FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index
  • Two constituent changes to FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index
  • Constituent changes reflect routine semi-annual index review based on market capitalisation, free float and liquidity thresholds

The next review will take place in December 2026.

FBM KLCI Reserve List:
The FBM KLCI reserve list, comprising the five largest non-constituents of the index by market capitalisation (as of 25 May 2026 cut-off date), will be KPJ Healthcare, QL Resources, Sime Darby, United Plantations, and Westports Holdings. The reserve list will be used if one or more constituents are removed from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI in accordance with the index ground rules during the period up to the next semi-annual review.
