KUCHING, Sarawak — AirBorneo Airways (AirBorneo) today announced the opening of ticket sales for its new Kuching–Singapore route, marking the airline’s first international destination and another milestone in its network expansion beyond Malaysia.
The new daily service will operate between Kuching International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4, strengthening Sarawak’s connectivity with one of the region’s key aviation and business hubs.
The route is also expected to create new opportunities for trade, tourism and investment between Sarawak and Singapore.
The inaugural flight on July 22 coincides with Sarawak Day, which commemorates the state’s attainment of self-government.
The launch of AirBorneo’s first international route on the occasion reflects Sarawak’s growing aviation ambitions and efforts to expand connectivity, trade and economic opportunities beyond Malaysia.
Ticket sales will open at 10 am (GMT+8) on July 13, 2026, with all-in one-way Economy Class fares starting from RM399 and Business Class fares from RM871.
The fares include airport taxes and fuel surcharges.
Flights will commence on July 22, 2026, with tickets available exclusively through the official AirBorneo website at www.airborneo.com and the AirBorneo mobile application.
AirBorneo Chief Executive Officer Megat Ardian Aminuddin said the launch of the Kuching–Singapore service marked a significant step forward in the airline’s growth as it extended Sarawak’s air connectivity beyond Malaysia for the first time.
“Singapore is a vital regional and international hub, and this new route will create meaningful opportunities for trade, tourism and investment between Sarawak and the wider region.
“We remain committed to connecting people, businesses and opportunities through safe and reliable air travel.
“This milestone reflects our long-term ambition to grow AirBorneo’s international network in support of Sarawak’s economic and social development,” he said.
The Kuching–Singapore route builds on AirBorneo’s ongoing domestic network expansion.
As the airline continues to grow, it remains committed to strengthening Sarawak’s connectivity, supporting tourism and economic development, and providing safe, reliable and value-driven air travel to the communities it serves.
