LABUAN — A total of 26 An-Nur special remedial pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan Lubok Temiang (SKLT) recently participated in the ‘Jom ke Gale-Vasi’ programme aimed at exposing them to innovation and good practices in teaching and learning.

The programme, organised by the school’s Special Remedial Education Unit at Dewan Gemilang, also involved five teachers and five former An-Nur pupils.

Among the activities held were an aerobics session with the Chipmunk mascot, a visit to the Innovation Gallery, a book exhibition by the Labuan Public Library, as well as quizzes and question-and-answer sessions.

SKLT headmistress Faridah Abdul Rahman said the programme also aimed to foster creativity and innovation among pupils, while providing a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas and experiences related to school innovation.

“Learning that applies innovation can optimise pupils’ potential through meaningful learning experiences and help prepare them to become global citizens, while also contributing to the development of their character,” she said.

The programme was coordinated by Norhasiken Mohd Dahli, with Midzmar Harun as the aerobics instructor and Nurul Ain Yahya and Nur Ilia Farahasyah Isman as Gale-Vasi facilitators.

Labuan Federal Territory Education Department Learning Sector Assistant Director Mohd Khairi Mahady, SKLT Senior Assistant for Administration Muharna@Ana Shariff Mucklie, Senior Assistant for Student Affairs Sunah Tahir and Senior Assistant for Co-curricular Activities Symsul Reduan also attended the programme.
