LABUAN — Sekolah Kebangsaan Lubok Temiang (SKLT) launched its 3K (Safety, Cleanliness and Health) Icon alongside the Wah Seronoknya Belajar (Learning is Fun) programme today as part of efforts to create a safe, healthy and conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers.

The programme, organised by the school’s Safety, Cleanliness and Health (3K) Unit in collaboration with the Special Remedial Education Unit, was held at Dewan Gemilang and involved all teachers as well as Year One to Year Six pupils.

3K Unit Coordinator Syed Raffie Maksit and Special Remedial Education Coordinator Norhasiken Mohd Dahli said the combined initiative was aimed at strengthening awareness among pupils on the importance of observing safety, cleanliness and health practices while promoting engaging learning experiences beyond the classroom.

They said the programme also introduced Level One pupils to outdoor learning activities through the Wah Seronoknya Belajar initiative while encouraging creativity and innovation among young learners.

Wah Seronoknya Belajar serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas and experiences while enhancing pupils’ motivation. It also inspires dedication, creativity and teamwork in teaching and learning,” they said.

The programme was attended by SKLT headmistress Farida Abdul Rahman, Senior Assistant for Administration Muharna@Ana Shariff Mucklie, Senior Assistant for Student Affairs Sunah Tahir and Senior Assistant for Co-curricular Activities Symsul Reduan.

Teachers involved included aerobics instructor Ahmad Ikhwan Hakim Shanusi and programme facilitators Nurul Ain Yahya, Cristca Sylviana Misi, Nur Fatin Ab Rahim, Syrlie Wessy Sindang, Hendry Anak Kui Siong and Ahmad Lutfi Abdul Razak.

Activities conducted during the programme included an aerobics session, the launch of the 3K Icon, Jalur Gemilang colouring activities for Level One pupils, Mathematics and Bahasa Melayu learning stations, as well as quizzes and question-and-answer sessions.

Farida expressed hope that the 3K initiative would instil discipline among pupils while encouraging them to maintain cleanliness and safeguard both their physical and mental well-being.

She said learning experiences that incorporate outdoor activities through the Wah Seronoknya Belajar programme would help optimise pupils’ potential through meaningful learning experiences and prepare them to become globally minded citizens.

“At the same time, the programme helps shape the character of SK Lubok Temiang pupils. We want to expose them to a variety of engaging learning experiences from their primary school years,” she said.

Farida also congratulated and thanked the teachers for their commitment in ensuring the success of the joint programme.
