LABUAN — The Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) X JAGO Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan 2026 convoy will make three stops across the island as part of efforts to spread the spirit of patriotism and the Jalur Gemilang among the local community on this Aug 30.
The convoy will begin at 8 am at Pasar Tani Labuan before setting off for the first checkpoint at UTC Labuan.
According to Labuan Information Department (Japen Labuan) spokesperson, the convoy is scheduled to arrive at UTC Labuan at 8.40 am for the distribution of Jalur Gemilang flags before proceeding to Lubok Temiang at 9 am.
“The second checkpoint at Lubok Temiang is scheduled for 9.30 am, where another Jalur Gemilang distribution session will be held.
“The convoy will then proceed to Balai Raya Kampung Belukut at 10 am, with the location serving as the final checkpoint and venue for the official closing ceremony,” said the spokesperson.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10.30 am with the arrival of Labuan Corporation Chief Executive Officer Rithuan Mohd Ismail, followed by the arrival of the KMJG X JAGO W.P. Labuan convoy and the presentation of the Jalur Gemilang.
The programme will also feature the singing of the national anthem Negaraku and Maju dan Sejahtera, as well as the recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge.
A screening of Jiran by Japentv is scheduled at 10.50 am, followed by a welcoming speech by the director of Japen Labuan and KMJG X JAGO 2026 convoy chief Ruddyansjah Mahtar Hams.
The ceremony will also feature a special performance by the winner of the 2025 Bintang Patriotik Kemerdekaan competition before Rithuan delivers the official closing speech.
The programme will conclude with the presentation of the Jalur Gemilang to the heads of government departments, followed by the singing of Jalur Gemilang and a photography session at noon.
