LABUAN — A baby British Shorthair kitten was eaten by a python in an incident at Kampung Sungai Bangat, prompting the owner to contact the Labuan Civil Defence Force (APM Labuan) for assistance.
A spokesperson for APM Labuan said they received an emergency call at 8.37am yesterday regarding the presence of a snake inside a cat cage at a residential property.
“The reptile had entered the cage and consumed one of the kittens before being discovered. Fearing for the safety of other pets and family members, the owner immediately contacted APM for assistance,” said the spokesperson.
Subsequently, a team from APM Labuan was dispatched to the scene and successfully captured the snake.
