LABUAN — Staff of the Finance Sector and Academic Services Sector of Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL) are joining the National Month 2026 celebrations by flying the Jalur Gemilang at their office.
The activity, led by Assistant Accountant Ruby Zawati Timbang, was held to enliven the National Month celebrations themed “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati” (Malaysia MADANI: Prosperity Enjoyed).
She was assisted by Accountant Noradiana Ibrahim and Academic Sector Head Che Din Md Salleh.
Ruby Zawati thanked staff from both sectors for their commitment and efforts in making the National Month 2026 celebrations a success.
She said the flying of the Jalur Gemilang reflected the staff’s love for the country and called on them to display the national flag at their respective offices throughout the National Month celebration.
“The joy was clearly reflected on the faces of the staff, adding to the festive atmosphere of the National Month celebrations while further strengthening the good ties that have been established over the years,” she said.
She said the theme of the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati”, reflected the government’s commitment to building a developed, inclusive and harmonious nation where the benefits of prosperity are enjoyed fairly by all Malaysians.
Meanwhile, Che Din said the display of the Jalur Gemilang would create a more attractive and vibrant environment at the respective offices.
“The Jalur Gemilang campaign can foster patriotism among the staff of the UMSKAL Finance Sector and Academic Services Sector,” he said after installing the national flags at the office lobby.
