LABUAN — The Department of Information (JAPEN) Labuan today distributed Jalur Gemilang flags to Maxim e-hailing drivers in conjunction with the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration.
The programme, held at the Maxim E-Hailing Service centre in Labuan town, aimed to disseminate information on current issues and government initiatives while fostering patriotism and love for the country among e-hailing drivers in the Federal Territory of Labuan.
Labuan Information Department director Ruddyansjah Mahtar Hams led department staff in distributing the flags during the programme.
The programme also featured a briefing on current issues by JAPEN Labuan, followed by the presentation of the Jalur Gemilang to the Maxim Labuan manager and brief interviews with e-hailing drivers.
The Jalur Gemilang were subsequently displayed on Maxim drivers’ vehicles as a symbol of national pride and solidarity in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration.
The initiative also enabled e-hailing drivers to help spread the festive spirit of Malaysia Day among the community while providing services around Labuan.
The programme reflected the close cooperation between government agencies and the e-hailing community in strengthening information dissemination and fostering patriotism.
