LABUAN — Six members of the Dapur Siswa Madani (DSM) executive committee of Alpha Residential College, Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL), attended the 2026 Healthy Catering Training for Food Premises at Educational Institutions in the Federal Territory of Labuan today.

The training, organised by the Nutrition Section of the Public Health Division, Labuan Federal Territory Health Department, was held at the Labuan Information Department meeting room.

The session was conducted by Nutrition Science Officer Ariannie Charles, who briefed participants on healthy nutrition, as well as safe and quality food handling practices.

The participation provided the six DSM committee members with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and understanding of food preparation and handling practices, with emphasis on hygiene, safety and food quality.

The knowledge gained is expected to be applied in the management of the Alpha Residential College DSM kitchen, supporting efforts to provide clean, safe and nutritious food to the UMSKAL community.

The participation also reflects the commitment of Alpha Residential College DSM to ensuring that food management at the residential college is carried out in accordance with good practices, while prioritising the health and well-being of the campus community.
