TAMBUNAN — Four people were injured after a Toyota Rush skidded off the road in Kampung Moloson here this afternoon.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call on the Tambunan road accident at 3.45 pm before a team from the Tambunan Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene 11 minutes later.
Operations commander PBK I Raizaain Awang Damit said the accident involved a Toyota Rush that had veered off the road shoulder on its own.
“A total of four victims, comprising three men and one woman, sustained injuries in the incident. All victims were given initial treatment by the Fire and Rescue team and medical staffs at the scene.
“They were later transported to hospital by an ambulance and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle for further treatment,” he said in a statement today.
In a separate incident, the department received a distress call at 3.13 pm on a motorcycle fire near Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) in Kota Kinabalu.
A team from the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the location at 3.20 pm and found a Yamaha Lagenda motorcycle already engulfed in flames.
The motorcycle was destroyed completely. No casualties were reported in the incident.
