PAPAR — A storage shed and two vehicles were destroyed in a fire near Taman Seri Kinarut South, Kinarut, here this evening.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call through the NG999 line at 5.59 pm before dispatching a team from the Papar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Papar) to the scene, located about 21 kilometres away.
The fire engine arrived at 6.30 pm, and the operation was brought under control at 7 pm before being fully concluded at 7.34 pm.
Operations commander PBK II Hamdani Harith said the blaze involved a household storage shed, which was completely destroyed.
“The fire also spread to two vehicles, namely a Proton Persona and a Toyota Hardtop AE70, with both vehicles sustaining about 90 per cent damage,” he said in a statement today.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
