KUALA LUMPUR — The Autism Awareness Run Kuala Lumpur 2026 was held in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Car Free Morning programme on April 19, 2026.
The event was organised by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in collaboration with Pertubuhan Amal and Dakwah Anak Istimewa, with the aim of raising public awareness on autism while fostering a spirit of togetherness, compassion and continuous support for children with special needs and their families.
Such initiatives are expected to further strengthen public understanding and awareness of autism, while encouraging sustained support for the special needs community.
