KUALA LUMPUR — The operating hours of 10 Zakat Collection Centre counters under the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (PPZ-MAIWP) will be extended to provide convenience for contributors to fulfil their zakat obligations before the end of 2025.
From Dec 22 to Dec 31, 2025, all PPZ-MAIWP counters will operate from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm, except for the UTC Pudu Sentral counter, which will operate until 8.00 pm.
Contributors who visit PPZ-MAIWP counters will receive special tokens of appreciation, including exclusive shopping bags and 2026 calendars. To enliven the year-end atmosphere, zakat payers conducting transactions at the counters will also be welcomed with light refreshments, as well as dedicated booths featuring asnaf entrepreneurs and strategic partners.
In addition, zakat payments can be made online via the PPZ-MAIWP portal at www.zakat.com.my, the MyZakat application, and through appointed payment agents such as internet banking services and e-wallets.
For contributors who are unable to visit PPZ-MAIWP counters and prefer personalised services, the Amil2U service is available, whereby PPZ-MAIWP officers will visit contributors at their preferred location to facilitate zakat payments. Appointments can be made via mytemujanji.zakat.com.my.
PPZ-MAIWP also offers the “Zakat 1 Call Away” service, enabling contributors to fulfil their zakat obligations easily by contacting the zakat hotline at 1-300-88-5757.
PPZ-MAIWP urged the public to expedite their zakat payments at PPZ-MAIWP on or before Dec 31, 2025, to be eligible for a 100 per cent income tax rebate for the 2025 assessment year.
In conjunction with the Year End Zakat 2025 Campaign, contributors also stand a chance to win an umrah package and more than 1,500 attractive prizes, with winners to be announced in February 2026. (Bernama)
