SUBANG JAYA — The Selangor State Government, in collaboration with Invest Selangor Berhad and the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), will organise the Selangor State-Level Chinese New Year 2026 Celebration on Saturday, Feb 7, 2026, at Taman Rekreasi Wawasan, Persiaran Wawasan, Taman Wawasan, Puchong, from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
The venue was selected to bring the festive atmosphere directly into the heart of the community, with an expected turnout of 10,000 visitors from all walks of life.
Early Celebration in Respect of Ramadan
Although Chinese New Year in 2026 falls on Feb 17, the state government has decided to hold the celebration earlier to avoid overlapping with the beginning of Ramadan, which is expected to coincide with the festive season.
This proactive step ensures the smooth running of the public feast and respects the Muslim community who will be observing the fast, while still allowing Malaysians of all races and state leaders to celebrate together in unity.
