LABUAN — A delegation of five lecturers from Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah, Brunei Darussalam, made a goodwill visit to the Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL) on Wednesday.
The delegation, led by its Principal Dk Hajah Nooramaliatifah Pg Haji Ahmad, was received by the Head of the Administration and Human Resources Sector (SPSM), Mas Adi Alimin, who represented UMSKAL Director Professor Dr. Shamsul Bahari Shamsudin.
Also present during the visit were the Labuan Federal Territory Education Department (JPNWPL) Learning Officer Norhayati Yahya, who is also the SMK Labuan Sixth Form Centre (PTE) Desk Officer, and SMK Labuan Sixth Form Centre Senior Assistant Saminan Sabtu.
During the visit, Mas Adi delivered a briefing about UMSKAL at the Kiamsam Meeting Room before the delegation was taken on a tour of the Lunar Observatory on Level 13 of the Menara Building.
Earlier, the lecturers participated in a knowledge-sharing session with the Labuan Education Department and the SMK Labuan Sixth Form Centre. During this session, they learned about the implementation of the ’12-Step Technique in Action Research’, an educational innovation developed in Labuan by Suriani Oxley.
The delegation’s itinerary also included a batik-making activity at the LAWA Gallery, as well as visits to local tourism spots, the Labuan Museum, and the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC).
The visit not only served to strengthen professional ties between the educational institutions of both countries but also paved the way for broader collaborative opportunities in the future, aimed at benefiting students, teachers, and the broader educational community.
